Professional Learning of Catholic School Educators: An Investigative Study

This presentation will highlight the results of a mixed-methods research study investigating the professional learning experiences of teachers at Catholic high schools in the Northwest United States. Data include quantitative survey analysis from 232 teachers and qualitative analysis from follow-up focus group interviews. The presentation will describe findings that will help school and district leaders plan and implement effective learning experiences for teachers.

Rebecca Smith

Rebecca Smith, M.Ed., is in her final year of the Doctor of Education program at the University of Portland with a focus on school leadership and development. A former high school teacher and current Research Fellow, Rebecca works to perform research that is meaningful and relevant to P-12 leaders. Her doctoral research focuses exclusively on the professional learning experiences of teachers at Catholic high schools in the United States.
