Teaching is hard work! Meeting the needs of ALL students at their developmental level, not letting any students fall through the cracks, and providing the most valuable literacy program for each child on your own is hard to do, if not impossible! We have found a way to ease the burden of this, and no it is not going to add anything to your plate, it will actually do the exact opposite. Two years ago we were asked to work together and find a way to enhance our literacy program that is student driven and meets students’ literacy needs. We would like to share what we have learned with you, how working as a 1-3 collaborative group works for us, and the benefits we have seen with not only our students, but for ourselves professionally.
