There is growing interest internationally and across Canada in how to support gender equity, including the growing #WomenEd and #HeforShe movements which recognize the advancing equity, valuing diversity and supporting inclusion concerns all people engaged in education and leadership. At uLead16, we initiated the #WomenEd pre-conference. And now at uLead17, we deepen this focus with the launch of @WomenEdCanada and expand our discussion to consider the challenges, opportunities and possibilities for supporting all participants to experience and advance equity, diversity and inclusion in and through educational leadership. A panel of recognized educational leaders will engage in debate and discussion with each other and with the audience about challenges of persisting inequities and possibilities of future equities for educational improvement.
