Feedback form is now closed.
The shift in education from traditional practices to building 21st century skills in our students is mirrored by the transformation of conventional school libraries to vibrant Learning Commons. Research shows that an effective Learning Commons can increase student success in literacy and numeracy, provide a voice for cultural diversity, increase the ability of staff and students to use technology for teaching and learning, and build a school culture of collaboration and creativity. This shift moves the library from being a storage place to a place of creation.

How can you create a Learning Commons in your school, making it a living, active and relevant space for all stakeholders? What does it look like? How do you staff it? Join the Alberta School Learning Commons Council as we lead you through the process of building a LC that works for your school community. Practical ideas and resources will be shared that will allow you and your school community to start crafting your Learning Commons tomorrow!
